Dr. Camp Returns from Honduras

DR. CAMP RETURNS FROM HONDURASHONDURAS 2012 096

Dear Patients:

I recently returned from my 18th trip to Honduras.  I go to the capital city of Tegucegalpa yearly with a Christian group, World Gospel Outreach, to serve the people of Honduras.  We have optometrists, dentists, medical doctors, nurses and many helpers.  As a Christian group, we not only provide for the physical needs of the patients we see, but we also provide spiritual care as well.

This year I teamed up with an optometrist from Fort Wayne.  We joined a group of 26 from Illinois, many of whom I have served with on my past trips.  It is such a privilege to be able to help people who have nothing to see with clearly.  Some are able to see for the first time in their lives.HONDURAS 2012 065

We provided eyecare to 450 people.  We take with us hundreds of pairs of used and new glasses, sunglasses and artificial tears to give freely to the people of Honduras.

I want to personally thank all of you who have dropped off your old glasses, so that I can take them to Honduras.  Together, you and I, make a difference in the lives of many people.  Again, thanks for your help and please continue to bring in your old used eyewear.  We will put them to good use.

Seeing better together,

Bradley S. Camp, O.D.
